Congratulations to all of our swimmers who competed in the NBAC FallFastival

This is the MAC News for Monday, November 5th.

Congratulations to all of our swimmers who competed in the NBAC FallFastival this past weekend.  MAC had four swimmers who took home blue ribbons - Lauren James won the 9-10 girls 50 back, 50 breast, 100 free, 200 IM, 200 free, 100 back, and 100 IM; Mitch Reynolds was the winner of the 9-10 boys 50 back, 100 fly, 200 IM, 200 free, and 100 back; Evan Kolovich topped the field in the 11-12 boys 200 back, 100 fly and 200 fly; and Margot Manning was the top swimmer in the 11-12 girls 100 breast.  In addition, two new team records were set - Mitch Reynolds bested Coach Kenny's 9-10 boys 200 fly record from 1993 and Evan Kolovich continued to chip away at his own record in the 11-12 boys 200 fly.  Complete results of the meet may be found at

Last Friday was the deadline for your swimmer's 2008 USA Swimming Registration.  Unfortunately, there are still about 20 families who have not turned in the registration or let Ed Goundry know that their child is not planning to continue after December 31st.  It is much easier for Ed to submit all of our registrations at one time to the Maryland registrar for processing, so please, if you are one of those who has not yet taken care of this process, do so TODAY!  Ed may be reached at fgoundry@vglaw.orgif you have any questions regarding this matter.

The practice schedule for today is normal - Senior Red and Black from 4:00-6:30, Senior White from 5:45-8:00, Age Group II from 6:00-8:00, and Senior Prep from 8:00-9:00 all in the bubble.  Age Group I will be in the indoor pool from 4:30-6:15.  There is no practice today for Novice or Masters.
