TODAY is the deadline for turning in your swimmer's 2008 USA Swimming

This is the MAC News for Friday, November 2nd.

IMPORTANT!  IMPORTANT!  TODAY is the deadline for turning in your swimmer's 2008 USA Swimming registration, along with a $64 check made payable to MAC.  This must be completed in order for your swimmer to continue to train and compete after December 31st.  Questions regarding registration should be directed to Ed Goundry at fgoundry@vglaw.orgIMPORTANT!  IMPORTANT!

If your swimmer is attending the afternoon session of the Fall FASTival tomorrow, don't forget there has been a schedule change for tomorrow afternoon only.  Warm-ups for the Saturday afternoon session will begin at 12:30 and the actual session will begin at 1:30.  Also, be aware that the track area just outside the spectator seating at UMBC will be off limits to everyone this evening and all day tomorrow.  Plan accordingly!  Psych sheets, a timeline for Friday evening, and a warm-up schedule are posted here - www.macswim.net/node/214.

The practice schedule for today is as follows - there is no Senior Red or Black practice this afternoon as Coach Andy will be at UMBC with the swimmers.  Any Senior Red or Black swimmer that did not train this morning may practice with Senior White from 5:45-8:00.  Age Group II will swim from 6:00-8:00.  Both groups will be in the bubble.  Age Group I will be in the indoor pool from 4:30-6:15.  There is no practice today for Senior Prep, Novice, or Masters.  On Saturday, Senior White, Age Group II and those Senior Red and Black swimmers not attending the meet will train from 9:00-10:30 in the bubble.  Novice will also swim in the bubble from 10:30-11:30.  Age Group I will be in the indoor pool from 7:30-9:00.  As always, no practice on Saturday for Senior Prep or Masters.  Seniors will have morning practice on Monday from 5:15-6:30 in the bubble.

Good luck to all of our swimmers competing this weekend.  Don't forget to change your clocks before you go to bed on Saturday - one extra hour of sleep Sunday morning!!  Yahoo!
