This is a LONG one with lots of new information at the end.....

This is the MAC News for Friday, November 21st.

This is a LONG one with lots of new information at the end.  Please read it ALL carefully.

The practice schedule changes for NEXT week due to the Thanksgiving holiday are as follows - on Wednesday and Friday, Senior Red and Black will swim from 6:45-9:00 am, Senior White and Age Group II will swim from 9:00-10:30 am, and Age Group I will swim from 4:30-6:15 pm all in the bubble.  There is no practice for any group on Thursday.  The practice schedule will return to normal on Saturday.

Entries for the GTAC/MAC Winter Frolics meet ( www.mdswim.org/Top_Nav/Meets/2008-2009_Schedule_Results/GTAC_and_MAC_The_Winter_Frolics_Meet.htm) are due to the meet entry folder by 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 29th.  All MAC swimmers are eligible to attend, regardless of the time standards.  Senior Red and Black swimmers are strongly encouraged to swim at least one event during the Sunday session.  Fees are as follows:  Friday only = $8, just Saturday or Sunday = $17, Saturday and Sunday = $30, and all three days = $35.  If you have questions as to whether your child should attend this meet, please speak to your child's coach.

This year MAC will be placing an order for custom team caps in both silicone and latex.  These are the traditional black MAC caps that are worn at the meets with the MAC logo, however, you may add your swimmer's name or nickname to the cap.  To place an order, you must order a minimum of two caps per name per material.  If you want to order a cap with John and a cap with Smith, you must order a minimum of two of each name.  The price per latex cap is $6.50 ($13.00 for two) or $12.75 per silicone cap ($25.50 for two).  Please place your orders, together with a check made payable to MAC and the name to be printed on the cap printed NEATLY in capital letters, in the JAMES folder no later than Saturday, November 29th at 10:30 am.  Should you have any questions, please contact Toni James at Toni@Jamesonline.us.  We must be ordering at least 25 silicone caps and/or at least 50 latex caps to place our order.  We only do this once a year so please order what you will need for the entire year.

Sunday, November 30th will be the last day to contact Renee Hyrkas (rhyrkas@hyrk1.com) if you are interested in purchasing Marriott SCRIP cards.  Renee is also running a "sale" on 5 $100 Superfresh SCRIP cards we have in our inventory.  These are being offered at $90 each.  The cards are accepted at Superfresh, A&P, Waldbaums, The Food Emporium, Farmers Jack, Sav a Center, and Food Basics.  They may be traded in at any of the stores for smaller increments which make nice stocking stuffers or gifts.  Please contact Renee if you are interested or have any questions regarding these cards.
