Don't forget, there has been a schedule change for the GBSA meet.....

This is the MAC News for Friday, November 14th.

Don't forget, there has been a schedule change for the GBSA meet this weekend that affects the Sunday afternoon session ONLY.  Warm-ups for Sunday afternoon will begin at 12:00 noon and the meet will begin at 1:15.  Here is the warm-up schedule - Friday evening - open warm-up from 4:00-4:30, at 4:30 there will be designated lane assignments for 12 & U swimmers (lanes 3, 4, and 5), Saturday morning - MAC is in lanes 2, 3, and 4 from 7:25-7:50, Sunday morning - MAC is in lanes 7 and 8 from 7:25-7:50, Saturday afternoon - Open warm-ups from 12:30-1:35, and Sunday afternoon - Open warm-ups from 12:00-1:05.

Also, there is a practice schedule change for tomorrow that will affect Age Group I.  Any Age Group I swimmer not attending the GBSA meet should plan to swim with Age Group II from 9:00-10:30 am in the bubble.

Ed Goundry has not heard from approximately 28 swimmers regarding their intent to continue swimming past December.  If your swimmer is currently in the water (and is not new to MAC this season) and you have not yet turned in their 2009 USA Swimming registration, along with a $65 check made payable to MAC, you must do so IMMEDIATELY.  Current registrations expire on December 31st and your swimmer will be unable to practice or compete if their registration is not current.  If your swimmer has decided not to continue after December, please e-mail Ed at fgoundry@vglaw.organd let him know.

If you pay your MAC dues on the installment plan, your final payment of the trimester is due by TOMORROW.  Payment may be dropped in the Dues folder at Hood or mailed to Fred Manning, whose address is on your bill.  If you have questions regarding your bill, Fred may be contacted at fredmanning@comcast.net.  Swimmers whose accounts are not kept current will be unable to participate in practices or meets.

Renee Hyrkas is taking orders for Marriott SCRIP cards.  For those of you new to the program, these cards may be used like cash to pay for hotel stays at any Marriott property.  We encourage you to consider purchase of these cards if you are staying in or plan to stay in a Marriott property in the near future (think Christmas meet).  MAC receives $12 for every $100 card purchased.  We raised close to $1000 for the club this way last year.  If you are interested or have questions, please contact Renee at rhyrkas@hyrk1.com.  Please no verbal requests as they are difficult to track.  Payment is made by check made payable to MAC with "SCRIP" in the memo line.  Checks should be placed in the HYRKAS folder.

The practice schedule for today is normal - Senior Red and Black from 4:00-6:30, Senior White from 5:45-8:00, and Age Group II from 6:00-8:00 all in the bubble.  Age Group I will swim in the indoor pool from 4:30-6:15.  There is no practice today for Senior Prep, Novice, or Masters.  The practice schedule for Saturday is as follows - Senior Red and Black from 7:00-9:00, Senior White, Age Group II, and those Age Group I swimmers not at the meet from 9:00-10:30, and Novice from 10:30-11:30 all in the bubble.  Seniors will have morning practice on Monday from 5:15-6:30.

Best of luck to everyone competing this weekend!
