This is the MAC News for Tuesday, November 11th.
Congratulations to the following swimmers who won their events at the NBAC meet this past weekend - Hanne Borgersen (13-14 girls 200 free), Christina Hyrkas (13-14 girls 200 breast), Jacy Icard (11-12 girls 100 back), Lauren James (11-12 girls 200 back, 200 breast, and 100 breast), Eliza Manning (10&U 50 fly), and Sean O'Connell (10&U boys 200 free). Love that fast swimming!
For those of you attending the GBSA meet this weekend, there has been a schedule change that affects the Sunday afternoon session ONLY. Warm-ups for Sunday afternoon will begin at 12:00 noon and the meet will begin at 1:15. We hope to have team specific warm-up information later in the week and will pass it along once it has been received.
Don't forget, there is a practice schedule change for this coming weekend that will affect Age Group I. Any Age Group I swimmer not attending the GBSA meet should plan to swim with Age Group II from 9:00-10:30 am in the bubble.
Ed Goundry has not heard from approximately 28 swimmers regarding their intent to continue swimming past December. If your swimmer is currently in the water (and is not new to MAC this season) and you have not yet turned in their 2009 USA Swimming registration, along with a $65 check made payable to MAC, you must do so IMMEDIATELY. Current registrations expire on December 31st and your swimmer will be unable to practice or compete if their registration is not current. If your swimmer has decided not to continue after December, please e-mail Ed at email@example.com let him know.
If you pay your MAC dues on the installment plan, your final payment of the trimester is due by SATURDAY. Payment may be dropped in the Dues folder at Hood or mailed to Fred Manning, whose address is on your bill. If you have questions regarding your bill, Fred may be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org. Swimmers whose accounts are not kept current will be unable to participate in practices or meets.
The MacFarlane family is missing a couple of items that were left at or taken from the pool. If someone has found a pair of size LARGE fins with the name MacFarlane on the bottoms or a football with the same name on it, please contact Karen MacFarlane at email@example.com or return them to one of the MacFarlane boys..
The practice schedule for today is normal - Senior Red and Black from 4:00-6:15, Senior White from 5:45-8:00, Age Group II from 6:00-8:00, and Senior Prep and Masters from 8:00-9:00 all in the bubble. All of the Novice groups will swim in the indoor pool - Novice I from 4:30-5:30, Novice II from 5:30-6:30, and Novice III from 6:30-7:30. There is no practice today for Age Group I.
