October 30, 2008
This is the MAC News for Thursday, October 30th.
Don't forget, the Novice groups will be having a Halloween party this evening in place of regular practice. All groups will meet in the indoor pool from 5:30-6:30. The swimmers should arrive in costume and bring their assigned items.
Remember, the practice schedule for tomorrow has been modified due to Halloween. ALL Senior swimmers are strongly encouraged to attend morning practice from 5:15-6:30. Senior Red and Black practice in the afternoon will end at 5:30. All other afternoon practices for tomorrow are cancelled.
There is another practice schedule change for the weekend which affects the Novice groups only. There will be NO practice for Novice on Saturday due to the HARY meet.
Orders for the Bulk Buy MAC swim suit and apparel order are due to Pools, Patios, and Porches by SATURDAY. Don't forget to let Paul Gorgol (at Pools, Patios, and Porches) know if your swimmer will be needing a championship suit (FSII, FS Pro, or LZR) for the meets in December or Feb/March.
The deadline to return your 2009 USA Swimming registration form and $65 check (made payable to MAC) to the Membership/Registration folder is next Friday, November 7th.
We are still looking for an Assistant Meet Director for the Robert J Hogan Memorial Mini Meet that we host in February. This position is a great way to learn how a sanctioned Maryland swim meet is run and a great way to help young swimmers throughout Maryland. For more information about what is involved, please contact Fred Manning at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be on the lookout for more opportunities to volunteer as we get closer to the meets we host.
The practice schedule for today is as follows - Senior Red and Black from 4:00-6:15, Senior White from 5:45-8:00, Age Group II from 6:00-8:00, and Senior Prep and Masters from 8:00-9:00 all in the bubble. The Novice groups will be having a howling good time at their Halloween party from 5:30-6:30 in the indoor pool. Seniors will have morning practice tomorrow from 5:15-6:30.
