This is the MAC News for Friday, October 10th.
We have received information regarding warm-ups for the RAC meet this weekend. Our warm-ups for the morning session on both Saturday and Sunday will be in Lane 8 from 7:25-7:50. There will be an open warm-up on both days for the afternoon participants in the OUTDOOR pool from 12:00-12:20 - NO SWIMMER MAY WARM-UP IN THIS POOL WITHOUT A COACH! MAC's indoor warm-up for the afternoon session on Saturday will be in Lane 8 from 12:20-12:35. For Sunday afternoon, the indoor warm-up will also be from 12:20-12:35 but will be in Lane 7.
The meet notice for the NBAC Fall FASTival is now available here - www.mdswim.org/Top_Nav/Meets/2008-2009_Schedule_Results/North_Baltimore_Aquatic_Club_Fall_FASTival.htm. This meet will be held November 8-9 at UMBC and is open to swimmers 13 & over with 'A' times and faster and to 12 & under swimmers with 'BB' times and faster. Fees are $23 for one day or $43 for both. The NBAC Fall Warm-up meet notice still has not been posted but the meet will be held November 14-16 at Towson University. This meet is open to all swimmers and there are no time standards. Fees are $8 for Friday, $23 for Saturday or Sunday, $28 for Friday and Saturday or Friday and Sunday, or $48 for all three days. The deadline for entries for both meets is TOMORROW at 12:00 pm. As soon as the 2nd meet notice becomes available, it will be posted.
Don't forget, if you pay your MAC dues on the installment plan, your 2nd payment of the trimester is due on Wednesday. Payment may be dropped in the Dues folder at Hood or mailed to Fred Manning, whose address is on your bill. If you have questions regarding your bill, Fred may be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.
MAC is currently running a Joe Corbi's pizza fundraiser to support the Frederick Rescue Mission. All orders are due to the Fundraiser folder on or before Saturday, October 18th. Questions should be directed to Cheryl Knapp at 240-394-0226 or at email@example.com.
Remember, there will be no practice tomorrow for any of the Senior groups (Red, Black, or White) due to the EST meet tomorrow afternoon. All other practices on Saturday will be normal - Age Group II from 9:00-10:30 and Novice from 10:30-11:30 in the bubble, Age Group I from 7:30-9:00 in the indoor pool. There will be morning practice next week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:15-6:30 for all interested Senior swimmers in the 9th-12th grades.
