With the weather forecast rather iffy for today

This is the MAC News for Thursday, December 13th.

With the weather forecast rather iffy for today, please make every effort to verify the practice schedule by either calling the hotline (301-696-8588), checking your e-mail, or checking the website prior to leaving for practice.

We're making one last plea for one more timer for the Friday evening session (that's tomorrow) of the Winter Frolics meet.  There are families out there who's child is scheduled to swim and are not signed up to time.  If you belong to one of these families, PLEASE consider volunteering your time so we have all of our assignments covered!  You may contact Helene Williams at either dandhwilliams@aol.comor 301.607.6475 to volunteer if you are unable to get to the pool today.

Don't forget the schedule changes for the meet.  The morning warm-ups now begin at 7:05 with a session start of 8:30.  The afternoon warm-ups will begin at 1:15 with a session start of 2:15.  Here is the inclement weather number again - 410-386-4616.  It may come in handy!

The meet notice for the BAAC Splash (, January 5 and 6 at Towson University (note the location change from the past), has been posted.  This meet is open to swimmers with slower than "BB" times.  All entries, along with a check to cover the fees, are due to the meet entry folder by 8:00 pm Tuesday.  Fees are as follows - $21 for one day, $39 for both.  As always, if you are unsure whether your child should attend this meet, please speak to his or her coach.

Be on the lookout for some practice schedule changes this weekend due to the meet.  Any changes will be announced as soon as they are confirmed.

The practice schedule for today is as follows - Senior Red and Black from 4:00-6:15, Senior White from 6:15-7:15, Age Group II from 6:00-8:00, and Senior Prep and Masters from 8:00-9:00 all in the bubble.  Novice I will be in the indoor pool from 5:30-6:30 and Novice II and III will be there as well from 6:30-7:30.  There is no practice today for Age Group I.
