Celebrate the Season...with bagels for breakfast!

All swimmers are invited to enjoy Panera bagels and spreads, compliments of the MAC Board, after their group practice this Saturday morning, beginning at 9 am, in the bubble.  (Age Group 1 is welcome to walk over to the bubble after their practice.)  Swimmers are asked to bring their own beverage.  We will also welcome donations of fresh fruit, yogurt, or a breakfast/brunch-type casserole or quiche, to accompany the bagels.  Happy Holidays!

There are currently three meet notices posted on the bulletin board in the baby pool area of the bubble.  The first is for the EST Distance/IMX meet(www.mdswim.org/Schedule/Speedo_Jan_5_6th_07_EST_meet.doc), January 5 and 6 at the McDonogh School in Owings Mills.  This meet is open to Age Group II, Senior Red, Black, and White swimmers on Sunday ONLY.  If your swimmer is looking for a place to earn their state cuts in the 200 stroke events, this is the place to do it.  Entries, along with a check to cover the fees, are due to the meet entry folder by 8:00 pm TOMORROW.  The second is for the Retriever Classic (www.mdswim.org/Schedule/2008_Classic_Meet_(draft)Announcement_V7.doc), January 11-13 at UMBC.  This meet is open to all swimmers with "A" times or faster on Saturday and Sunday only.  Entries, along with a check to cover the fees for this meet, are also due to the meet entry folder by 8:00 pm TOMORROW.  Finally, the meet notice for the MSC Winter Invitational (www.mdswim.org/Schedule/JAN_2008_MSC_Meet_Notice.doc) to be held January 19 and 20 at Loyola College has also been posted.  This meet is open to swimmers with "BB" times and slower.  Senior White swimmers should note that their group will only be attending the meet on Saturday and all Senior White swimmers will compete in the Open events.  A deadline will posted as soon as it is confirmed.

MAC will be holding a Splash for Cash swim-a-thon on Saturday, January 5th during normal practice.  The money raised will be used to replace old, worn out, or damaged equipment and to buy some new things as well.  All swimmers should have received an information sheet and donation form in their folders last week.  If you didn't get a copy of the paperwork or if you have any questions about the event, please contact MAC Senior swimmer, Katie Serfling, at either sgscbs@comcast.netor at 301-874-2481.
