The practice schedule for today is normal - Senior Red and Black from 4:00-6:15, Senior White from 5:45-8:00, Age Group II from 6:00-8:00, and Senior Prep and Masters from 8:00-9:00 all in the bubble. Novice I will be in the indoor pool from 5:30-6:30 and Novice II and III will be there as well from 6:30-7:30. There is no practice today for Age Group I. Seniors will have morning practice tomorrow from 5:15-6:30.

Congratulations to Muhammad Hudhud and Evan Kolovich who each broke a team record at the RAC meet this past weekend. Muhammad lowered the 11-12 boys 200 breaststroke record. Evan re-established the 11-12 boys 200 butterfly standard, a record he set in November. In addition, MAC had 3 swimmers take home top honors. Muhammad won the 11-12 boys 100 freestyle, Christina Hyrkas won both the 11-12 girls 100 and 200 breaststroke events, and Evan took both the 11-12 boys 100 and 200 fly.
There are some practice schedule changes for Monday, due to the MLK Holiday. Senior Red and Black will swim from 6:00-8:00 am and again from 4:00-5:30 pm. Senior White and Senior Prep will train from 6:30-8:00 am and Age Groups I and II will swim together from 10:00-12:00. All practices will be in the bubble.
Don't forget your dues payment for the first trimester of 2008 is due TODAY either in full or at least 1/3 if you pay on the installment plan. Any questions regarding billing should be directed to Fred Manning at firstname.lastname@example.org
Sign up sheets for volunteer positions for the Hogan Meet have been posted and are filling quickly. If you haven't signed up yet, please do so TODAY! Remember, as stated in the team handbook: "Each family is required to supply a volunteer for two (2) sessions at the MAC-hosted meets regardless of whether of not your child is swimming in the meet. If your family absolutely cannot attend either of the meets, it is your responsiblity to make arrangements with the meet director (in this case, Fred Manning - email@example.com) to help with a job prior to or after the conclusion of the meet. Families who do not comply with this requirement (you must work 2 sessions) will receive supplemental billing after the meet with an assessment of $75.00".
In addition, a sheet for concession donations has also been posted. Any donated items may be dropped off in the indoor pool on Tuesdays or Thursdays to either Terri Carder or Jenny Beiter. Helene Williams is the point of contact for drop-offs in the bubble most other nights. If you are interested in becoming a Maryland certified official or just learning about what is involved, our team will be hosting a clinic for entry level officials at the Robert Hogan Mini-Meet at Frederick High on Saturday, February 2nd. The clinic will take place in the cafeteria beginning at noon and will run for about 1 hour. At the conclusion of that clinic, you could become an Apprentice Stroke & Turn Official and you could begin to learn during any meet which you attend, including the Hogan Meet.
