Due to a clerical error on my part, it was announced yesterday...

This is the MAC News for Friday, May 23rd.

Due to a clerical error on my part, it was announced yesterday that Muhammad Hudhud broke 6 team records this past weekend.  While Muhammad does own the 11-12 boys 100 and 200 free records, he set those at the Naval Academy meet last month, not at the RAC meet this past weekend.  Sorry for the confusion.

We are pleased to announce a presentation for MAC parents and older swimmers by MMI, an orthopedic and physical therapy group, located at 86 Thomas Johnson Ct. in Frederick.  The presentation will take place at the clinic on Tuesday, May 27th at 6:30 pm and will cover common swimming injuries, injury prevention, medicine ball training, and what MMI has to offer.  Snacks will be provided and the entire session should last less than an hour.  If you are interested in attending, please sign up on the sheet posted on the bulletin board in the baby pool area so we can give the group an approximate head count.

Here is a heads up regarding some upcoming practice schedule changes for the Novice groups.  Beginning the week of June 16th, Novice practice will be reduced to two days a week - Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Novice II and III will swim from 5:00-6:15 and Novice I will swim from 6:00-7:15 in the indoor pool.  The groups will combine during the 15 minute overlap to do a short dryland routine.

If you are missing a black MD 2007 All-Star blanket that was left at the RAC meet after the Sunday afternoon session, Deb Reynolds has it.  You may email her at to re-claim your missing blanket.

The practice schedule for today is normal - Senior Red and Black from 4:00-6:30, Senior White from 5:45-8:00, and Age Group II from 6:00-8:00 all in the outdoor pool.  Age Group I will be in the indoor pool from 4:30-6:15.  There is no practice today for Senior Prep, Novice, or Masters.  DON'T FORGET - there is a practice schedule tomorrow for Age Group I.  They will swim from 10:30-11:30 in the outdoor pool with Novice.  All other practices for tomorrow are normal - Senior Red and Black from 6:30-9:00 and Senior White and Age Group II from 9:00-10:30 in the outdoor pool.  Due to the Memorial Day Holiday, ALL groups will be off on Monday.

Have a safe and happy holiday weekend!
