April 17, 2008
Today is Thursday, April 17th and this is the MAC News.
Please be aware that we will be posting meet notices and collecting entries well in advance of their due dates for the rest of the summer to avoid being closed out of meets due to oversubscription. The meet notice for the NBAC Meet in early June will be posted this weekend with a one-week entry window.
Entries for the Retriever Aquatic Club (RAC) Abby Seeger Memorial Invitational (www.mdswim.org/Schedule/abbyseegermeet.doc) to be held May 16-18, at the UMBC Aquatic Complex, along with a check to cover the fees ($5.00/event, up to 4 events (12 & Unders) per day, and up to 3 events (13 & Overs) plus the $3.00 service charge), are due to the meet entry folder by 12:00 pm SATURDAY. This meet is open to swimmers with at least 2 "A" times. As always, if you have any questions as to whether your child should attend this meet, please speak to your child's coach.
Anyone wishing to contribute photos for the general team slide show shown at the banquet should e-mail them to Terri Bush at Territbush@aol.comor leave a disc of pictures in the Bush folder by SUNDAY.
Joanna Yeh (email@example.com) is collecting pictures for the senior slide show to be shown at the banquet as well. If you have any pictures of our graduating senior swimmers (Laurel Brabson, Jamie Hyrkas, Josh Kim, Katie Serfling, Julie Thackston, or Asaph Yeh) from any time in their MAC careers, the group would greatly appreciate copies.
Your RSVP slip for the MAC banquet on May 4th, along with payment, is due to the Banquet folder by Monday.
On Saturday, May 10th, we will be taking down the bubble for the summer. We will need help from as many of our families as possible, especially our dads and older swimmers. More information will follow soon, but get this date on your calendar now!
On Saturday, May 31st MAC will be hosting a biathlon fund-raiser to raise awareness for cancer and to help support the Rossick family. All entries, along with the $30 registration fee, are due to Coach Lauren's folder by May 15th. The event is open to all MAC and Hood Hammerhead families, including parents and former swimmers! Other ways to help are detailed on the information sheet found on our website. The registration form may be found there as well.
