This is the MAC News for Monday, April 14th.
Here is more information regarding the memorial service for Kathy Rossick. The church has asked for an estimate of the number of people attending the service. If your family plans to attend, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org the number attending. There will be a light lunch following the service and the church is accepting donations of food for the luncheon. If you would like to contribute a dish, please call the parish at 301-473-6800 to let them know.
The meet notice for the Retriever Aquatic Club (RAC) Abby Seeger Memorial Invitational (www.mdswim.org/Schedule/abbyseegermeet.doc) to be held May 16-18, at the UMBC Aquatic Complex has been posted. All entries, along with a check to cover the fees ($5.00/event, up to 4 events (12 & Unders) per day, and up to 3 events (13 & Overs) plus the $3.00 service charge), are due to the meet entry folder by 12:00 pm SATURDAY. This meet is open to swimmers with at least 2 "A" times. As always, if you have any questions as to whether your child should attend this meet, please speak to your child's coach.
Your RSVP slip for the MAC banquet on May 4th, along with payment, is due to the Banquet folder by next Monday, April 21st. Please be aware that space is limited so get your RSVPs in ASAP.
Anyone wishing to contribute photos for the general team slide show shown at the banquet should e-mail them to Terri Bush at Territbush@aol.comor leave a disc of pictures in the Bush folder by SUNDAY.
Joanna Yeh (email@example.com) is collecting pictures for the senior slide show to also be shown at the banquet. If you have any pictures of our senior swimmers (Laurel Brabson, Jamie Hyrkas, Josh Kim, Katie Serfling, Julie Thackston, or Asaph Yeh) from any time in their MAC careers, the group would greatly appreciate copies.
On Saturday, May 31st MAC will be hosting a biathlon fund-raiser to raise awareness for cancer and to help support the Rossick family. All entries, along with the $30 registration fee, are due to Coach Lauren's folder by May 15th. The event is open to all MAC and Hood Hammerhead families, including parents and former swimmers! Other ways to help are detailed on the information sheet found on our website. The registration form may be found there as well.
The practice schedule for today is normal - Senior Red and Black from 4:00-6:30, Senior White and Senior Prep from 5:45-8:00, and Age Group II from 6:00-8:00 all in the bubble. Age Group I will be in the indoor pool from 4:30-6:15. There is no practice today for Novice or Masters.
