Today is Friday, April 4th and this is the MAC News.
Don't forget, entries, along with a check to cover the fees ($17.50 for one day, $31.00 for both), for the EST Spring Into Long Course Meet (www.mdswim.org/Schedule/2008_EST_Long_Course_April_Meet.doc) to be held April 19th and 20th at the McDonogh School in Owings Mills are due to the meet entry folder by 12:00 pm TOMORROW. This meet is open to swimmers with "BB" times and slower.
The meet notice for the NAAC Carol Chidester Memorial Long Course(www.mdswim.org/Schedule/2008_NAAC_ELITE_MeetNotice_FinalV3.doc) to be held April 25-27 at the Naval Academy will be posted soon. All entries, along with a check to cover the fees ($5.00/event, up to 4 events per day, plus the $3.00 service charge), are due to the meet entry folder by 6:00 pm Wednesday, April 9th. This meet is open to any swimmer with at least 2 "A" times (10&under swimmers have modified "A/BB" qualifying times listed in the meet notice). As always, if you have any questions as to whether your child should attend this meet, please speak to your child's coach.
Watch for your invitation to the annual MAC banquet coming to everyone's folder this weekend! (Attached to this e-mail is a copy - www.macswim.net/files/2008MacBanquetinvite.doc). The banquet will be held on Sunday, May 4th beginning at 5:30 pm at Dutch's Daughter. Tickets are $20.00 each (children under 3 are free). Your RSVP slip, along with payment, is due to the Banquet folder by Monday, April 21st. The banquet is a great time as we recap our season, honor our swimmers and coaches, and roast our Seniors. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
Terri Bush will creating a slide show of general team pictures to be shown at the banquet. Anyone wishing to contribute photos may e-mail them to Terri at Territbush@aol.comor leave a disc of pictures in the Bush folder.
There will also be a Senior specific slide show at the banquet. More information about where to contribute pictures for this will be available soon.
The practice schedule for today is as follows - Senior Red and Black from 4:00-6:00, Senior White and Senior Prep from 5:45-8:00, and Age Group II from 6:00-8:00 all in the bubble. Age Group I will be in the indoor pool from 4:30-6:15. There is no practice today for Novice or Masters. On Saturday, Senior Red and Black will swim from 7:00-9:00, Senior White and Age Group II from 9:00-10:30, and Novice from 10:30-11:30 all in the bubble. Age Group I will be in the indoor pool from 7:30-9:00. The Seniors will have a reprieve from morning practice for another week.
