IMPORTANT Meet Briefing from the Dolphins IT Department

IMPORTANT UPDATE for VICTORY LAKES VIRTUAL MEET VOLUNTEERS

This weekend's virtual meet against Victory Lakes will have some changes in the way we prepare, record, and reconcile the swimmers' times. If you are working in Clerk of Course, as a Card Runner, Timer, Recorder, or in Scoring and Verifying, expect things to be a little different. Victory Lakes will be doing the same at their pool, while we swim in ours.

This meet is PRE-SEEDED, that means the swimmers are assigned to Heats and Lanes before arriving at Clerk of Course. If you are a family that swims with a USA Swimming Club team (year-round), you are likely familiar with this. The biggest difference is there will not be 550+ deck cards, but Timer Sheets at the Recorders chairs. Each of the 10 lanes has a clipboard with a separate sheet for each of the 67 events. Timers and Recorders will need to pay VERY close attention to the right swimmer in the right lane for the right heat.

Please make sure you arrive early to your volunteer post, are prepared to be briefed on a "new way" of doing things, ready to be flexible, and not shy about raising your hand and asking questions if you don't understand.

Many thanks from the Dolphins IT Department. The printer is very tired now. WHOOSH!
