The Virtual Club Championships was started by USA Swimming as a way to rank clubs and their swimming performances against each other for swimmers age 11 and older. This is one of many markers used by clubs and club coaches to gauge the overall success and improvement upon performances each year not only within their own club, but also in comparison to the country. During the short course season for 2007-2008, Santa Clara Swim Club finished the season 77th with a score of 164,384 points. The following year 2008-2009 the club improved to 67th with a score of 175,921. This year the club has again continued its improvement and moved into the top 50 in the country with a score of 190,326 and a placing of 43rd.
Congratulations to all of our swimmers who have continued to stretch their swimming, challenging themselves to improve in not only their preferred events, but also in events that they were hesitant in the past to explore. As a coaching staff we are proud of each of you for your efforts.
