BCST: New Swimmers & Water Test Information
The Bellevue Club Swim Team, like all other “year-round” teams, relies a great deal on its membership to help shape the team for the upcoming seasons. Following the graduation of many of our older swimmers, for the upcoming 2010-2011 swim season the BCST is looking to add young swimmers to our program. We are looking for kids who love swimming and love to compete.
Bellevue Club has a long history of providing a successful and fun environment where swimmers learn to become fast, while enjoying the process and developing positive life skills.
Before any new swimmers can join the BCST they will need to be water tested. The water test is used by the coaches to determine the ability level of the applicant and which training group they would be best suited for. In addition, while the water test is conducted there will be an informational meeting for the parents of the swimmers to learn about the BCST: its philosophy, programs, operating procedures, events, training schedules, fees, etc.
The dates for this summer’s Water Tests are:
Wednesday July 6 @ 1:00-2:00pm
Wednesday July 13 @ 1:00-2:00pm
Wednesday July 20 @ 1:00-2:00pm
Wednesday July 27 @ 1:00-2:00pm
Wednesday August 3 @ 1:00-2:00pm
Depending on the numbers, the water test process may take up to 1 hour.
No appointment is necessary.
Swimmers will be asked to swim all 4 competitive strokes. At this stage the coaches will look first at stroke development. You’ll need to bring your suit, goggles and maybe a cap, the Club will provide towels.
