2009 Washington Open

BCST had a very good Washington Open this past weekend. Over 40 orange cap clad swimmers competed for 4 days against some of the best teams form the Northwest and California.
For the majority of the BC swimmers, they went into the meet with little rest as they have been putting in a lot of hard work with club practices and it was nice to see the work pay off with some great performances.
Special congratulations go out to Ethan Hallowell who qualified for Summer Junior Nationals in the 200 Back with a 1:49.13. Ethan also qualified for NCSA Junior National Meet in 50 Free, 100 Fly, 200 Free, and 100 Free. Ethan also won the men’s high point award for the meet.
Also, congratulations to Murray Longbotham (100 Fly, 200 Free & 100 Free), Devon Morris (50 Free) and Paolo Stanchi (200 Back) for also qualifying for the NCSA JR National Meet. These are tough standards to make.
