With seven weeks of competitions being reported on the national scene, four PNS swimmers find themselves with the top times in the country in nine events. The rankings are very fluid at this time of the year, and change from week to week as more and more swimmers compete. Eleven year old Gabby Dang (WAVE) leads in the 50 yard backstroke and 50 yard butterfly while eleven year old Bindi Pedersen (MMSC) leads the 100 yard breaststroke, 200 and 400 yard individual medley events. Eleven year old Garrett Waite (BISC) has the top time in the 200 yard butterfly. Finally, twelve year old Lia Campbell (BISC) leads the nation in the 50 and 100 freestyle as well as the 100 yard butterfly events. It may be noted that Dang, Pedersen, and Campbell will have all move up an age group in the next couple of weeks. Dang is coached by Erin Dunn; Pederson is coached by Kirby Schaufler; and Campbell and Waite are coached by Carolyn Ackerly.
