Nathan Adrian Male Race of the Year 2012

Bremerton native Nathan Adrian, who won two gold medals and a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics, captured a 2012 Golden Goggles Award for Male Performance of the Year Monday night (Nov. 19) in New York City.

Adrian won the award thanks to his spectacular 100 free race in London Aug. 1 when he out-touched Australia's James Magnussen by one one hundredth of a second, 47.52 to 47.53, for the Olympic title. This award is given to the male swimmer with the greatest single individual race of the year, with special emphasis on the 2012 Olympic Games.
