State Meet Results:

Our Swim and Dive finished strong at the State Meet in Canton – with some exciting racing and great dives last weekend!

The Girls placed 6th overall up 3 places from last year and only 1 point out of 5th place. 

Lady Elks that made it to the podium at finals were:

Emma King (JR):     8th in the 200 Free and 7th in the 500 Free

Nicole Swartz (JR):   5th in the 500 Free


200 Free Relay placed 7th:  Emma Curtis (SR), Emma King, Maddie Eckley (SO) and Nora Fullenkamp (FR)

400 Free Relay placed 5th:  Fullenkamp, Eckley, Grace Hoffmann (JR) and King


Consolation heat placing:

Grace Hoffmann:     12th in the 100 Back and 16th in the 200 IM

Maddie Eckley:       16th in the 200 Free

Nora Fullenkamp:     9th in the 50 Free

Maddy Woods (JR):  10th in Diving

Katie Polk (JR):        13th in Diving


200 Medley Relay placed 11th:  Grace Hoffmann, E. Curtis, Madi Stout (SR) and Fullenkamp


The Boy’s team also had a great meet and finished 10th overall. 

Elks that made it to the podium at finals were:

Dylan Curtis (SO):    8th in the 100 Back*

Noah Hickey (JR):     6th in Diving

*Sophomore Dylan Curtis’ time in the 100 Back of 51.19 broke Centerville High School’s 100 Back Record set by Jay Hickey in 2012 by almost half a second!  Congrats Dylan!


200 Medley Relay placed 6th:  Dylan Curtis, Nathaniel Lowry (JR), Chris Quarin (SO) and Steven Quarin (SR)

Consolation Heat placing:

Nathaniel Lowry:                 14th in the 200 IM and 15th in the 100 Breast

400 Free Relay placed 9th :  C. Quarin, Lowry, S. Quarin and D. Curtis

Congratulations to all those who competed at the OHSAA State Swim and Dive Meet!  What a great accomplishment for all!

End of Season Banquet:

The end of season banquet will be held on Wednesday, March 12th at 7 PM at Yankee Trace.  We are looking forward to celebrating another great season for the Elks Swim and Dive Team!

Please look for an e-mail today with your invitation and form to fill out.  Everyone will need to fill out the form and mail to Nancy Sparks by March 2nd (with payment, if needed).  If you do not need to make payment due to working enough Sectional meet shifts to cover your banquet costs, you can fill out the form and e-mail to Nancy Sparks.
