Volunteer Update

A friendly reminder to please sign up to volunteer for our upcoming CHS Swim and Dive meets if you haven’t done so yet. We need you to be successful! For those of you who have already volunteered, thank you!

Additionally, please take a look at the Food Donation List request and see if your swimmer/diver’s name is on the list to donate food/drink for the upcoming Coach’s Classic meet.

Firebird Relays January 8th

@ Wright State University

Arrive at school: 3:30 p.m. to sign in

Bus leaves:  3:45 p.m. 

Warm-ups:  4:30 p.m.  

Meet start time: 6:00 pm.


Senior Night Swim and Dive vs. Beavercreek January 9th


Arrival: 4:45 PM at the Washington Township Rec. Center

Warm-Ups: 5:00PM

Senior Presentation: 6:00 PM

Meet Start: 06:20PM

Meet End: 10:00PM


Larry Lyon’s Swim and Dive Meet:

The Centerville Swim and Dive team competed in Cincinnati on Saturday at Sycamore High School.

The Dive Team competed against Beavercreek and several top Cincinnati teams. In the Girls 1 meter diving, Megan Kujawa placed 6th with 168.35 points and Breonna Gillespie placed 8th with 149.40 points. In the Boys competition, Austin Flaute and Sam Wiedemann swept 1st and 2nd with 297.55 and 272.40 points respectively.

The Swim Team held tough against some top Cincinnati and Southwest Ohio teams.

Top 3 finishers for the girls were Nora Fullenkamp, 1st 50 Free and 100 Free; Maddie Eckley, 2nd 200 Free and 500 Free; Liz Quarin, 3rd 200 Free; Girls 400 Free Relay placed 3rd with Quarin, Hippenmeyer, Eckley and Fullenkamp. 

For the boys top 3 finishers were Dylan Curtis, 1st , 50  Free; Michael Sparks, 1st 500 Free; Chris Quarin, 1st 100 Breast; Chris Quarin, 1st 100 Fly; Austin Spruill, 2nd 100 Fly; Sam McCarthy, 1st 200 IM and Dylan Curtis, 1st 100 Back and a new pool record! Boys 400 Free Relay and 200 Medley Relay both placed 2nd with a team of Curtis, Spruill, McCarthy and Quarin.


JV at Bellbrook:

On Saturday night, the CHS JV team competed in the Bellbrook Quad meet held at the DRAC in Beavercreek.  The Girls JV team took first and Boys team finished second!  

Event winners include Erin Niederkohr in 100 breast and the 200 Medley Relay of Hippenmeyer, Niederkohr, Rado, and Cook.

Other Top 3 Girls results were: Ellie Del Ghingaro, 2nd  100 Free; Megan Wooton, 2nd,  Sarah Hecker, 3rd, 200 Free; Megan Wooten 3rd, 500 Free; Sophie Hippenmeyer, 3rd 100 Back; Carly Cook, 2nd, Sophie Hippenmeyer 3rd,  200 IM; Erin Niederkohr, 2nd, Ana Girz 3rd,100 Fly; Maddie Abuyuan 3rd 100 IM.

Girls 200 Free Relay of Abuyuan, Niederkohr, Cook, Rado, 2nd; and Apolito, Diiulo, Karpinsky and Wilkins, 3rd.

Girls 400 Free Relay of Cook, Girz, Wooten, Miske, 2nd; and Hecker, Rado, Taylor and Hippenmeyer, 3rd.

Top 3 Boys Results: Jacob Sargent, 2nd 50 Free; Edward Zhang 3rd 200 Free; Kyle Agargwal, 2nd; Alex Flesburg, 3rd; 500 Free;  Kevin Donnelly 3rd 100 Back; Garrett Fox 2nd, Jacob Valentini 3rd, 100 Breast; Garrett Fox 3rd, 200 IM;

Boys 200 Free Relay of Wilkens, Fox, LaCaze, Flesburg 2nd.

Boys 400 Free Relay of Flesburg, Agargwal, LaCaze, Sherwood 2nd;  and Donnelly, Schaefer, Shipman, Tesmer 3rd.

Boys 200 Medley Relay of Donnelly, Fox, Sherwood, Wilkens 2nd; Sargent, Valentini, Agargwal and Tesmer, 3rd.
