GWOC Conference Championship at Trotwood Madison HS February 4

For Those Swimming In The GWOC Central Meet:

Bus Leaves:   3:15 PM

For Those Not Swimming In the Meet:

:           3:30 PM - CHS Athletic Department Entrance
Buses leave:  3:45 PM 

Warm-Ups:     4:30 PM

Meet Start:      6:00 PM

Return: Will return immediately following meet to Centerville High School Athletic Department Entrance. *Please make sure you arrive promptly at CHS to pick up your swimmers following the meet!


Jim Matson JV Invite February 6

This meet will be for all those swimmers that did not compete at the GWOC Conference Championship Meet. Any questions should be directed to the head coach. ALL SWIMMERS ATTEND THIS MEET.

Arrival:          4:30 p.m. at Washington Township Rec. Center

Warm-Ups:    5:00 p.m.

Meet Start:    6:05 p.m.


GWOC Central Championships

Elk pride was evident at the 2016 GWOC Central Championships at Trotwood HS on January 28th and 30th as your Elk swimmers and divers won this meet. We had new meet records, top finishes, and a lot of “Big Swims” along with the most enthusiastic cheering section at the pool.

GWOC Dive Results

The divers started us off strong with many top 10 finishes and a total of 6 Divers reaching the podium on Thursday night at Trotwood HS.

Boys placing in the top 10 overall were: Sophomore Austin Flaute, 2nd, 293.45, Junior Sam Wiedemann, 3rd, 289.45, Sophomore Greg Hargrove, 8th, 146.10, and Sophomore Jake Rankey, 9th, 125.40.

Girls placing in the top 10 overall were: Junior Breonna Gillespie, 4th, 151.35; Junior Megan Kujawa, 5th, 150.65; Junior Noe Camp, 6th, 137.95 and Junior Brooke Greenlee, 9th, 114.50.

GWOC Swim Results

The Elk Boys and Girls swimmers continued the dominance Saturday night with 2 new GWOC Central records and many swimmers moving on to finals.

First Team Central Division for the girls were: Nora Fullenkamp, 50 Free and 100 Free (meet record); and Maddie Eckley, 500 Free. Also earning first place was the 400 Free Relay of Liz Quarin, Sarah Hippenmeyer, Maddie Eckley and Nora Fullenkamp.

Girls Second Team Central Division were: Liz Quarin, Pruitt Walther, Sarah Hippenmeyer and Aliya Zimmerman.

First Team Central Division for the boys were: Dylan Curtis, 50 Free and 100 Back (meet record); Michael Sparks, 200 Free; Chris Quarin, 100 Breast and 100 Fly; and Austin Flaute, Diving.  Relays placing first were: 200 Free Relay of Chris Quarin, Austin Spruill, Sam McCarthy, Dylan Curtis; the 400 Free Relay of Michael Sparks, Jacob Brooks, Matthew Kelleher, Josh Wiedemann; and the 200 Medley Relay of Dylan Curtis, Sam McCarthy, Chris Quarin and Austin Spruill.

Boys Second Team Central Division were: Sam McCarthy and Sam Wiedemann.

Joining their fellow swimmers at finals on Thursday are these top 16 qualifiers: Sarah Smith, Camille Butkus, Caroline Pierron, Anna Madding, Erin Niederkohr, Lauren Lampe, Sydney Sparks, Gabby Feldmeyer, Lauren Crowe, Shari Gordnier, Colin Beach, Thomas Hecker, Jake Steiner, Garrett Fox, Alex Pickrel, and Zach Feldmeyer.
