Team Banquet March 9, 2016 @ 7:00 pm

The team end of season banquet will be held Wednesday, March 9th at Yankee Trace. Remember to send in your RSVP. Also, if you have images from the season you would like to contribute to the slide show, please contact Leigh Caraccioli at [email protected].

 

OHSAA State Meet Results

The CHS Swim and Dive team was represented well at the State Meet in Canton this last weekend. We had great accomplishments with records broken, a first place champion and overall awesome swimming and diving.

Diving Results:

Our divers started us off holding strong against some tough competition Saturday morning. Making it to the podium were Austin Flaute, who placed 4th with a score of 509.45 points and Sam Wiedemann, who placed 5th with a score of 494.40. Congratulations to both divers for a great finish to the season!

Swimming Results:

The Girls had a great meet placing 10th with just 5 swimmers!  Highlights include four trips to the podium and Liz Quarin as one of three freshman (boys and girls) to qualify for finals and medal.

Making it to the podium at finals were:

Nora Fullenkamp: 3rd, 50 Free; 3rd, 100 Free;

Maddie Eckley: 5th, 500 Free

Liz Quarin: 7th, 500 Free

Consolation heat placing:

Maddie Eckley: 16th, 200 Free

200 Free Relay placed 12th: Eckley, Walther, Hippenmeyer, and Fullenkamp

The Boys had a fantastic finish placing 4th overall with 6 boys- 4 swimmers and 2 divers. Highlights include these new school records: Chris Quarin broke his 100 Fly and 100 Breast records at Prelims and Finals.  Dylan Curtis broke his 100 Back record at Prelims and Finals with a 1st place finish and the 200 Medley Relay school record was broken too!

Making it to the podium at finals were:

Dylan Curtis: 3rd, 100 Free; 1st, 100 Back- New school record and State Champion!

Chris Quarin: 3rd, 100 Breast; 4th, 100 Fly-Two new school records!

200 Medley Relay placed 4th: Curtis, McCarthy, Quarin, and Spruill- New school record!

400 Free Relay placed 6th: Curtis, Spruill, McCarthy, and Quarin

 

Congratulations to all our Elk swimmers and divers for a great meet and a great season!
