Pre-Team

This group is intended for our youngest swimmers new from the Learn-to-Swim program.  Practices will be four times per week and last for 45 minutes.  There are two goals to this group.  The first is to lesson the jump from lesson while providing ample opportunity to improve strokes and endurance.  The other is to provide a more homogenous group for our younger and newer swimmers so that practices can be as age appropriate as possible.  The end goal is to develop a swimmer confident in all 4 strokes, starts, turns and a desire to try a few swim meets.  There are no attendance requirements and no pressure to compete.

Bronze
This group is designed for swimmers new to the team and/or deficient in 1 or more of their competitive strokes.  An emphasis will be placed on technique development for all four strokes, starts and turns, and learning clock management.  The more advanced Bronze swimmers will be proficient in all four strokes, the IM’s, and all of the associated starts and turns.  Attendance is encouraged 3 to 4 practice sessions per week.  Practices will be 60 minutes per session.  An emphasis will be placed on continued technique refinement and an introduction to advanced conditioning.  Swimmers will be expected to independently utilize clock management techniques to perform swimming sets of up to 20 minutes in duration.  An introduction to attendance at competitions will be encouraged with the goal of meet-to-meet improvement and the development of age appropriate championship qualifications awareness.
