Philosophy

When swimmers are ready to make a full commitment to swimming they are expected to attend at least 90% of the practices offered for their group. Full participation in meets is expected so their goals of becoming a State Finalist, State Champion, Far Western Finalist, or beyond can be reached.

Practices are offered 4 to 5 times per week depending on the location, but the attendance expectation is 2-3 times per week. This allows for other after school activities with no need to force swimmers and parents to choose only one sport or activity.

Our schedule allows the swimmer, and his or her level of commitment, to grow with the program. Though our attendance expectation is only 2-3 times per week we do have swimmers who truly want to commit themselves to the sport of swimming and attend practice five times per week. All of these swimmers started swimming two or three times per week, then developed a growing love for the sport and were inspired to practice more often.

Our program is designed for children from ages 5 through 18, most who have had previous experience in competitive or pre-competitive programs. It is the perfect gateway into year around swimming for those who love recreational swimming in the summer. Prior to the first day of practice, parents will be asked to fill out a form indicating their goals for their children and their expectations of the program. Coach/parent communication is a strong point and is important. Every swimmer receives personal attention to help them achieve and exceed their goals.
