Trident Program (The Developmental Track)

Trident I: Introductory swimmers, brand new to swimming, and recent swim lesson graduates. Swimmers who are able to complete 25 yards (one length) of freestyle at a minimum are Trident 1 swimmers who will go through an assessment and placement evaluation prior to registration. Trident I includes introduction to the four competitive strokes through stroke technique development. Practices are offered 2-4 times per week and attendance is recommended 1-2 times per week. There is no attendance requirement. (Approximately 600 yard/practice; practices approximately 30-45 minutes)

Trident II:  Introductory swimmers with a working knowledge of all four strokes and those building on skills learned from completion of Trident I or a swim school are Trident II swimmers who will participate in a placement assessment prior to registration.  Trident II members receive further development of stroke technique, streamlines, turns, and starts.   Practices are offered 2-4 times per week and attendance is recommended 1-2 times per week. There is no attendance requirement. Swimmers can progress from this level to White or Black with Coach recommendation.  (Approximately 1000 yards/practice; practices approximately 60 minutes)

Trident III: Multi-sport athletes and those enjoying the journey of swimming. Swimmers building skill and experience in all four competitive strokes and preparing for high school swimming are Trident III swimmers. The focus of this group is to further develop efficient stroke technique, strength, speed, and stamina. Practices are offered 3-4 times per week and attendance is recommended to 2-3 times per week. There is no attendance or meet requirement, but swimmers will enjoy the greatest benefit in technique improvement and overall fitness with consistency in attendance. Swimmers can progress from this level to Blue or HS with Coach recommendation. (Approximately 1500-3000 yards per practice; practices approximately 60-90 minutes)

High School Group: Multi-sport athletes and those enjoying the journey of swimming. Swimmers who want to maintain a high level of fitness and improve for the next high school swim season, but are not yet ready for the commitment level required of our Senior Team athletes, are High School Group swimmers. This group will provide swimmers opportunity to develop skill and gain experience in all four competitive strokes. Swimmers can progress from this group to Senior III. Practices are offered 3-5 times per week and attendance is recommended to 2-3 times per week. There is no attendance requirement, but group members are encouraged to attend as many practices per week as possible to maximize the benefits of training. (Approximately 3000 yards/practice; practices approximately 90 minutes).
