Silver PracticeAiden Beck, a 10-year-old swimmer for the Sedona Swordfish, trains at the Sedona Community Pool for the fall swimming season. Beck, who has only been swimming with the club team for six months, won seven events at the Sedona Splash and swam 66 laps in 23 1/2 minutes at the Sedona Mile.

Swimmers in the Silver group focus mainly on practicing and refining the four legal competitive strokes, swimming 100 yards without stopping, having fun, and perfecting start and turn technique. Swimmers also learn how to swim sets and work hard. They will also learn about competition and how to focus on improvement of their own times from swim meet to swim meet.  Time improvement, endurance, strength and stroke technique are the true measure of success.  Practices last one hour and a half. Silver level swimmers swim 5 days a week, 90 minutes per session.

Silver participants are moved up from The Rock Shrimp Group, participated in our Summer program, or come from another swim program where endurance and skills have been introduced.

*Due to the Covid -19 we will be limiting the amount of swimmers in a lane.  This reduces our amount of swimmers on our team.  Please sign up early in order to secure a space.  First priority will be given to families that have previously swam with us.  We will have a waiting list and will give it our best try to get all swimmers back in the pool that wish to swim.  We are dedicated to having a safe and fun environment.
