Workout and Meet Attendance
Each training group will have specific attendance requirements appropriate for the objectives of that group. Failure to adhere to these requirements may result in specified penalties. It is the responsibility of the swimmers and parents to familiarize themselves with the attendance policies.
State championship competition will be required for swimmers who qualify to participate.
Unless cleared with your coach ahead of time, swimmers who leave a meet early may be dropped and a penalty may include being dropped for the remainder of the season. Communication is the key. Supporting fellow teammates is mandatory.
Swimmers who arrive late for training sessions and meets are disruptive to the team, are inadequately warmed-up, risk injury and will miss important instructions regarding the objectives of the session. In the rare situation when a late arrival is unavoidable, a note of explanation will be expected from a parent. This also applies to requests to leave a session early.
Swimmers should be ready to dive into the pool or to begin stretching/warm up exercises, and be prepared with a water bottle for proper hydration during their sets. Punctuality is absolutely essential for coaches to establish a distraction free training environment.
Please let your coach know if you are going to be late.
