Our Senior I training group is designed to train swimmers ages 14
and up. Most of the Senior I athletes train and compete year round,
although some are primarily training for the high school
season. In addition some of the athletes are preparing to
make the transition to the Senior Elite training group.
Stroke work and competitive skills development are important parts
of the workouts for this group. High levels of strength and
endurance are promoted with appropriate sets that are related to
the distance swam in high school competition (sprints). Interval
training is less intense than that of our more advanced groups.
Each workout is approximately 4000yds. Regular practice and
meet participation are highly encouraged.
