The Brantford Aquatic Club offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of BAC to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

NOTE: All decisions made on move ups are made by the swimmers current coach and the coach of the above squad. These decisions are based upon history in training and competition. Ultimately it is the coach who decides if the swimmer moves up to the next squad.


Mini Prep Program (Pre-competitive)

The Mini-preps program is the last stage in our Swim School graduation pyramid. Swimmers in this group will continue to develop their skills in all four of the strokes. Upon completion of the Mini-Preps squad swimmers will graduate out of the Swim School and be considered a safe swimmer.

The Mini Prep program offers 2 schedules with 2 workouts a week: Tuesday/Thursday 5-6pm or Wednesday 5-6pm/Saturday 8-9am.  It is a 10-week program, and there are three sessions throughout the year - October to December, January to March and April to June.

Fall session - Tuesday, October 3, 2017 (Tues/Thurs option)
Wednesday, October 4, 2017 (Wed/Sat option)
Finishing Thursday, December 9th or Saturday, December 11th.
Winter session - Tuesday, January 9, 2018 (Tues/Thurs option)
Wednesday, January 10, 2018 (Wed/Sat option)
Finishing Thursday, March 10th or Saturday, March 12th.
Spring session - Tuesday, March 27, 2018 (Tues/Thurs option)
Wednesday, March 28, 2018 (Wed/Sat option)
Finishing Thursday, June 2nd or Saturday, June 4th

The Prep program is the very beginning of our competitive program.  It is now an all-year-round program.  It offers 3 home competitions (WGSC).  This program prepares the swimmers for swim meets while continuing to develop their skills in all four strokes, as well introducing competitive starts and turns. 

This program offers 3 workouts a week: Tuesday 5-6 pm, Thursday 5-6 pm and Saturday 8-9 am
