Wildrose stream

The Auroras’ Wildrose program is for children that have learned basic synchronized swimming skills. (Wildrose is the province-wide synchronized swimming competitive program, where swimmers are categorized in tiers, from 1 to 5. Wildrose swimmers may participate in local, provincial, and regional competitions.) With a focus on further developing skills from the FUNdamentals program, swimmers learn synchro-specific skills, including flexibility, strength, and speed development. Typically swimmers are 8 to 14 years old.
Training hours increase as tier levels increase. At the end of each season and the beginning of the new season the swimmers may be tested (at the coaches discretion) to determine an appropriate tier level. For example, the Auroras offer tier testing camps in June. Testing also takes place in the fall.
