5.8 Summer Swim Camp
The Barracuda Swim Club runs a summer swim camp program in July. The camp is open to all children between the ages of 5 -12 who are able to swim a minimum of 15m unassisted. The focus of the camp will be to have fun while concentrating on stroke improvement and endurance for swimmers of all abilities.
Participants will be taught the four competitive strokes as well as starts, turns and stroke drills.
The camp is sponsored by the Barracuda Swim Club but is not focused on the competitive swimmer.
WHO SHOULD JOIN?
☺ Children who enjoy swimming
☺ Children who are exposed to water at cottages and beaches and need to be stronger for safety reasons
☺ Children who are not challenged enough by swimming lessons
☺ Children who are “stalled” in a level in swimming lessons and need to be stronger swimmers
☺ Children who want to increase their swimming endurance
☺ Children who want to learn more strokes
☺ Children who might be interested in competitive swimming but want to try it out first
☺ The child should be reasonably comfortable in the water and be able to swim at least 15m unassisted.
☺ Children who are taking Red Cross Swim Kids 4 or higher are suited to the swim camp
ONLINE REGISTRATION OPENS MAY 1, 2022

1. Two weeks every Mon-Wed-Fri;
2. Two weeks every Tue-Thu-Sat or
3. One week Mon to Sat
Mon, Tues, Wed, Thur, Fri ( 9--10:30 am)
Saturday (9:30 --11:00 am)
Session 1: 2 Weeks (M,W,F)
Session 2: 2 Weeks (T,Th,Sat)
Session 3: 1 Week (M ---> Sat)
Session 4: 1 Week (M --->Sat)
Session 5: 2 Weeks (M,W,F)
Session 6: 2 Weeks (T,Th,Sat)
Session 7: 1 Week (M --->Sat)
Session 8: 1 Week (M --->Sat)
$72.00 per session, plus $ 47.00 Swim BC Fee, $119.00 Total.
Swim BC Fee only has to be paid once per season, so if you have already done so for 2021-2022 you don't need to pay it again.
