group?

Swimmers from
ages 8 to 13 participate in this group.

How often should my swimmer come to
practice?

practices are offered per week. A minimum of (4)
practices is suggested.

What is the groups practice
length?

90 minutes

How long does the season
last?
|
Short
course season (25 yards) is September
through March. Long course season (50 meter) runs from
April through the end of July.

What is the daily yardage? / How much are they
swimming?

This
really depends on the style of focus for that day. Up to a maximum
of 3,000.

Does this group need double or weekend
practices?
|
A Saturday
morning practice is offered, not required, to help meet
any childs need for another day of practice.

What are the group’s basic
goals?

Introduction
to training with a major focus on technique and skills development.
This group will learn the importance of kick when
swimming.

What is the level of
meets?
|
These
swimmers should compete in all team home meets as possible and try
to enter one (3) travel meets. The Championship meet(s) for
these swimmers are District or Southeastern
Championships.
