Conditioning & Tech.

Team BC ’08 The Conditioning and Technique program is designed for those who wish to pursue competitive swimming while also managing other time commitments. Competitions are scheduled about once a month at the athlete’s ability level, C+T swimmers are encouraged to attend. This group is our ’Active for Life’ iniative, we beleive that swimming is a sport that has benefits for all.

The group has the option of swimming two or three times per week. Practice time is approximately 75 minutes per session.

Winskill Dolphins host an annual meet in March, this is a regional level meet and all the swimmers are expected to participate in the event. Each family is asked to help out with the organization and facilitation of the weekend, it is usually a great time to get to know some of your teammates.2008 vpsc invtational

The Conditioning & Technique program is a great introduction to swim club for teenage athletes, it can also be used as a cross-training for other sports and as a way to keep fit and meet other members of the community.

C+T group swimmers need to come to each practice prepared to swim with their suit, WDSC cap, goggles and equipment bag, which should contain Flippers, Pull Bouy, Finger Paddles and a Front Mount Snorkel.

For swim meets the swimmers will should wear their provided Speedo brand WDSC suit, WDSC team cap, a team t-shirt. A hoody is also a good idea. To order any team or training equipment please send an email to equipment@winskilldolphins.org .
