Mary Lou Jaworski


MARY LOU JAWORSKI swam at North Little Rock Boys Club and at the YMCA in the early 1950’s, where she held four State records. In 1956, she began her coaching career by organizing a team of six girls at YMCA. By the 1970’s, her team her grown to 122 members. Jaworski has also been involved in the Red Cross swimming instructions programs, in the Special Olympics program and in synchronized swimming. As a Masters Swimmer, she holds several State records and has compete on a National level. Kaworski is Executive Director of the YWCA, and has a daughter, Deborah.
