Jonathan Kletzel

Jonathan Kletzel started swimming at the age of 12 for the Little Rock Dolphins and swam with the team through high school and summers during college. As an age group swimmer, Jonathan focused on distance swimming until qualifying for Jr. Nationals at the age of sixteen in the 100 Yard Freestyle. Jonathan placed Top 16 at Jr. Nationals during his junior and seniors years in high school in the 100 Yard Freestyle. He was the state champion in the 50, 100, and 200 Yard Freestyle during each of his sophomore, junior, and senior years at Little Rock Central High School , where he was also NISCA All-American and team captain. Jonathan was known as a great relay swimmer and swam in several U.S. national relays including a Top 8 finish. At Northwestern University , he lettered all four years and was team captain his senior year. While at Northwestern, he was Academic All Big Ten three years in a row. He was a Big Ten finalist in the 100 Freestyle and several relays during his tenure.
