| At what age should children
begin swimming lessons?

| Many children begin swimming as
pre-schoolers and there is no doubt the water provides a very
special experience for the young child. WSC Swim School
programs typically begin offering lessons as early as 6 months of
age through adult.

| How frequently should
my child take swimming lessons?
|
At the WSC Swim School, we recommend
swim lessons twice a week for the following reasons:
- Easy on the family budget and schedule
- Easy on the child
- Easy way to ensure your child learns to swim
|
| Should my child take group or
private lessons?
|
At the WSC Swim School, we favor group
swim lessons for children who are ready to learn in a small group
setting. Small groups of four children or less provide
effective instruction, practice and the opportunity to watch other
children perform swimming skills.
However, not all children learn best in group lessons.
Parents must take into account their child’s temperament and
learning style. Private or semi-private lessons are also
available through the WSC Swim School.

| What can my child
expect on the first day of their lessons?
|
| At WSC Swim School, you will find our
instructors take a caring approach to teaching children to
swim. Instructors are trained to help reluctant children to
adapt to the Swim School environment. Parents will need to
prepare their children for the first day of swim lessons -- you
know your child better than anyone.

| Where are the
Learn-to-Swim classes held?
|
| All classes are held at the Garvey
Aquatic Center, home of the Wichita Swim Club. The Aquatic Center
is located at 8323 East Douglas in Wichita, directly behind The
Independent School.
|
| When are classes
held?
|
| Classes are given in 'sessions' (4 or
8 classes per session) with approximately 3 new sessions beginning
every month. Classes are held twice a week at various times
and days throughout the week to accommodate almost any
schedule. Private and semi-private lessons are scheduled in
advance on an appointment basis with each instructor. To see

| What about the cost of
Swim School classes?
|
| The cost of our lessons and classes is
based on the specific program and session that you enroll your
child in. Classes are generally given as group lessons
(maximum of 4 swimmers per instructor), but we also offer private
and semi-private lessons. Family and prepayment discounts are
also available.
You will find that WSC Swim School programs are priced
comparable to other outstanding children’s lessons in our
area. Swimming lessons are the most important lesson purchase
you will ever make for your child. To learn more about the

| What if my child
already knows how to swim?
|
| For those young swimmers who already
know the basics of swimming and feel comfortable with the water,
our entry level squad for the WSC Swim Team, the White
Squad, is especially designed for them. This
program is designed to teach each child a solid foundation of
swimming fundamentals giving the student the tools to enjoy a
lifetime of success in the sport of swimming. The White Squad
serves as the entry level for those young swimmers who wish to
compete on the WSC Swim Team. As a member of the WSC Swim
Team, each child learns the basics of competitive swimming, proper
and legal mechanics, racing techniques, starts and turns, and work
on improving their swimming performance. To learn more about
