This is the Dayton Raiders easiest and most popular fundraiser.  By purchasing popular "gift cards" (restaurants, hotels, gas stations, Best Buy, Home Depot, etc), every single card you purchase will result in a percentage credit back to your Dayton Raiders account.  Even better, using gift cards will not disrupt any other sales, special deals, or discounts offered by retailers, such as applying GVT, Senior, or AAA rates at a hotel.  These gift cards are the same as those commonly given to friends and family during the Christmas holidays. Many Raider families meet their entire fundraising assessment using SCRIP by the middle of the season; then receive credits directly towards their bill for additional fundraising revenue earned for the remainder of the year.  Some families do not pay bills on the Dayton Raiders in latter months, they simply pay their fees with fundraising - and SCRIP is an easy way to accomplish that.  If you want this to be your goal, simply sign up on the SCRIP website below - we have a special Dayton Raiders account already setup with SCRIP.  Then, place your orders each month, print off the order form, pass it to the SCRIP Coordinator, and begin seeing credits on your monthly bill.

• What is SCRIP?
  This is one of the easiest and most powerful fundraising programs ever.  We are all familiar with “gift cards” that have become popular around the holidays (those plastic gift cards that nearly every store has available and loaded with any denomination). This fundraising program works while you shop. SCRIP simply means “substitute money”.  You purchase these certificates / cards from national and local retailers. Here is the best part – a percentage of your card electronically gets applied to your Raider account! Percentages range from 2-25% (average 10%) depending on the vendor (note – veteran swim parents claim the hotel chains have the best deals: most of them return 10-20% of your stay right back to your Raider account regardless of the hotel rate you pay - AAA, military rate, senior, etc.).

• How do I get my cards / certificates? 
  How to order online: view the Instructions sheet above to setup your account - it’s fast and easy. Then, after your account is setup, go to www.shopwithscrip.com and place your order online. Print your order form and return it to the SCRIP Coordinator or to your group contact with payment by the deadline each month or earlier -- orders not turned in to the team’s SCRIP Coordinator on time will be placed on the next cycle. Turn around time is about one week. Please make all checks payable to the Dayton Raiders. No order will be processed without payment.

• What retailers can I purchase gift certificates for?
  Hundreds! The question becomes: what retailers can you not purchase cards for? Many popular retailers participate in the SCRIP Program including Lowe’s, Speedway, major chain hotels, JCPenney, The Gap, Shell, Kohl’s, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster, Old Navy, Bath & Body Works, and hundreds of others.  See the retailer list by logging into the SCRIP website at www.shopwithscrip.com

• Opportunity
  The beauty of SCRIP is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work.  You earn money against your assessments (fees) and earn money for the swim team without spending a single additional penny.  Just spend your regular shopping dollars with SCRIP at the stores that participate in the program.  You pre-purchase your gift certificates each month and then use them when making purchases at the selected retailers.

• How long are the gift certificates good for?
  Each retailer has different restrictions and expiration dates, many cards / certificates are the same as those your purchase at the store and popularized as gifts for typically given out as birthday and holiday gifts.  Please review the list of retailers to see what restrictions might apply to those you wish to purchase gift certificates from.  Most retailers do not allow you to apply gift certificates to credit cards for payment; however, JC Penney does allow you to do just that.  Again, please refer to the retailer list on the SCRIP website at www.shopwithscrip.com
