Here is a list of awards that can be earned:
This medal is awarded when a swimmer enters and swims in at least 80% of the events offered in a meet and improves his/her times in all those events. Ex. 8 events offered, must swim and improve in at least 7 events. If entered in 7 or 8 events, must improve in all those events, not a minimum of 7. If a swimmer is swimming in an event for the first time in competition, the time cannot be counted as an eligible event since no official time has been established to improve upon.
“A” Time Medal
Awarded when a swimmer achieves an “A” time in an event. This medal is given one time only per event, per age group. Time standards, listed in the Pacific Swim Guide, change every year. This award is usually given by the host team, except for tri-meets in the summer when the Gators will give them.
AWARDS BANQUET (held in Sept. or Oct.)
A plaque with nameplate for each event, including date, event and time. This award is given at the annual awards banquet.
