Dynamo Juniors Program

The Dynamo Juniors Program is designed to provide a flexible alternative for children who are participating in multiple sports or activities, and arranged on a session basis. The children receive Dynamo’s professional and quality swim instruction, while maintaining their commitments to multiple activities. ALL ATHLETES MUST ATTEND AN EVALUATION AND BE PLACED BEFORE REGISTERING.  DO NOT REGISTER WITHOUT CONTACTING COACH AMANDA (CHAMBLEE)OR COACH RICH(ALPHARETTA). 

Program Schedule:

We provide Fall, Winter, and Spring programs. Each session will run for 6 weeks.

Fall I Session: September 14th-October 22nd
Fall II Session: November 2ndh- December 17th *(off week of Thanksgiving November 24th-28th)
Winter Session: January 4th – February 11th
Spring Session: February 22nd- April 1st

 *Please note: There is an additional one-time per season per child (Sept-May) registration fee of $30 per child for the program, payable via our online registration. Session Fees are handled outside the online system currenly.  Once you register online, you will receive an email confirmation.  Please print it out and send (or bring) with a check for the session fee to Dynamo Swim Club (address at bottom of page).

Program Level Description
STARFISH:
For the beginner swimmer. Minimum ability to swim one length of the pool unassisted in both freestyle and backstroke. The goal for this level is to provide the swimmer with increased swimming exposure and confidence. Practice for this level will focus on refining freestyle and backstroke techniques as well as introducing the advanced disciplines of breaststroke & butterfly.
Typical ages: 5-7 years old.
Practices: 1 or 2 days/week.
Practice time: Mon/Wed 5:20-5:50
Program Size: 10 Participants
 
ii. SEAHORSE:This is an instructional level. Minimum ability to swim one length of the pool unassisted in both freestyle and backstroke. The Swimmer must be familiar with breaststroke and butterfly.
Practice for this level is focused on refining technique of all four
swimming disciplines.
Typical ages: 7-10 years old.
Practices 2 days/week.
Practice time:
Mon/Wed OR Tues/Thurs 3:45-4:30
Program Size: 18 Participants

iii. SEALS: This level builds on swimming techniques. Minimum ability to swim one length of the pool unassisted in all four 
disciplines: butterfly, backstroke,
breaststroke and freestyle.
Practice at this level will focus on stroke refinement, endurance
training, and introducing flip-turns. Conditioning training increases as each swimmer progresses.
Typical ages: 10-12 years old. 
Practices 2 days/week.

Mon/Wed OR Tues/Thurs 4:30-5:15
Program Size: 18 Participants

iv. SHARKS:For the experienced swimmer wanting to increase swimming ability and stay in shape. Minimum ability to swim one length of the pool unassisted in all four disciplines: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, & freestyle. This group continues to emphasize stroke technique while improving aerobic conditioning.
Typical ages: 12-14 years old
Practices 2 days/week.
Practice time: 5:15-6:15 Tues/Thurs
