Katy Aquatics hosts various social and special
events during the course of both short and long course sessions.
The following are some events held in and out of the
water!
Purple and Black Meet - a non-competitive meet held in
the beginning of the short course session to familiarize new
swimmers to the how
to’s of a meet. Fun for all!
Swim-A-Thon -
a USA Swimming event where swimmers get pledges and
swim to raise money
for the club. Incentive prizes are given for various levels of fundraising. In 2008, part
of the clubs proceeds went to charity, the Juvenile Diabetes
Foundation.
Holiday Party - usually held in different venues each year
to ring in the season as a Katy Aquatics family.
Awards Banquets - one is held in the spring to celebrate
the accomplishments of the senior swimmers and one in August in conjunction
with Fall
registration.
Championship Parties - a way to pump-up our swimmers before the
big meets.
Travel Trip - trip taken in the summer for our older
swimmers.
