NON-COMPETITIVE SWIM TRAINING PROGRAM Description

 

PreTeam and Junior Team (ages 6-14 yrs.)

Provides a swim-team-style practice working on refinement of the 4 competitive strokes, endurance building, advanced skills such as dives, flip turns and relays etc.  Admittance to these groups are through try-outs or by graduating from our swim lesson program only.

These programs are not competitive.  We do offer an optional intrasquad meet at the end of each session.

 Once the swimmer has developed these 4 strokes and built endurance, the swimmer may try-out for the competitive swim team or may respectively continue to pursue technique development and fitness training within the Non-Competitive groups.                                       

PreTeam ages 6-10 yrs.                 Junior Team - ages 10-14 yrs. 

                       

High School Training Group

If you’re a High School Athlete and you are looking for an athletic activity with low time commitment, the High School Training Group is the right program for you! All Swimmers on the High School Training Group must be able to swim 200 yards without stopping of freestyle, 100 yards without stopping of backstroke and an knowledge of breaststroke and butterfly.

The High School Training Group is a technique-based program. Coaches will work with your swimmer on all four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly) and building endurance. Your swimmer will also be working on racing skills and dives, turns and streamlines.

Goals of the HIGH SCHOOL TRAINING GROUP:

  • Improve on all four competitive strokes
  • Improve racing starts for all four competitive strokes
  • Refine turns for all four competitive strokes
  • Build both sprint and distance endurance.
