YMCA District Guidline Times: A swimmer achieving a District guideline time is ineligible to compete at the Junior District meet in the event in which they qualified. The Junior District meet is an alternative to the Distict meet for swimmers 12&Under one week prior to the District meet; relays are omitted. To be eligible for the Junior District or Disctrict Championship, a swimmer is required to compete in three, closed-YMCA swim meets and be a member of the YMCA they are representing as of December 1 of the preceding year. Swimmers competing at Junior Districts are eligible for relays at the District meet but may not compete in individual events. Coaches will make suggestions regarding which meet to attend.

YMCA Area Time Standards: A swimmer or relay must achieve an Area qualifying time at the District meet to advance to the Area meet. All swimmers achieving Area qualifying times are required to attend the championship meet.

National YMCA Time Standards: A swimmer may achieve a qualifying time at any meet: IHSA, USA-S, or YMCA. To compete in the National YMCA Championships a swimmer must participate in the YMCA District Championship.

Illinois Swimming Time Standards: A swimmer may ahieve a qualifying time at any meet. For an event in which a qualifying time was achieved outside a USA-S sanctioned meet, proof of time must be submitted at the time of entry.

National Age Group Motivation Times: These times are used at various meets for qualifying times or designation for awards. The AAA time standard is the Zone qualifying time for both Senior and Age Group swimming under the USA-S National Governing Body.
