About GCAT

GREENFIELD COMMUNITY AQUATIC CLUB (GCAT), affiliated with USA Swimming and Indiana Swimming, is a year round competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor.

All of our coaches, as members of the American Swim Coaches Association, have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time.

Greenfield Community Aquatic Club, a non-profit club, is run by its elected Board of Directors.

We are constantly growing and training young swimmers to maintain a well-rounded competitive swim team.

Through GCAT, swimming provides the opportunity to:

  • Learn how to achieve. The process of achievement is as important as the achievement itself, and our staff coaches this philosophy.
  • Compete with one ’s self. At GCAT, being first is not over-emphasized, but continuing self-improvement through goal setting, and the pursuit of those goals is encouraged.
  • Develop life, and life-saving skills. GCAT builds a tradition where children and young adults develop into excellent swimmers, well-rounded people with leadership talents and attitudes of good sportsmanship, cooperation and dedication
  • Form strong personal friendships. Swimming binds families together and provides a great community. Swimmers will likely form strong, life-long friendships.
