The Jr. Tigers group is
the second level of competitive training for TAQ. Stroke
technique is emphasized, and aerobic training sets are
introduced. Swimmers learn to use the pace clock and develop
a long term training vision. This group is designed to
produce swimmers that are eager and ready for the challenges of the
next level. Swimmers are encouraged to train three to four
times per week, although five practices are offered.
Practices last one hour and thirty minutes. Progression from
the Jr. Tigers group to the next level is based solely on the
coach’s recommendation.
