Financial Information for the 2009-2010 Season
The fees for Greater Omaha Aquatics members can be categorized in
three areas:
USA Swimming registration fee, team fees, and meet
fees.
1. USA Swimming Registration Fee
$52 per year (2010 membership runs from Sep. 1, 2009 until Dec.
31, 2010).
Every member of the Greater Omaha Aquatics must be a registered
member USA Swimming, the American amateur swimming national
governing body. USA Swimming is divided into 59 Local
Swimming Committees (LSC’s). Midwestern Swimming is the
LSC that administers most of Nebraska and parts of Western
Iowa. USA Swimming lists among its membership benefits the
following:
Subscription to “Splash” Magazine (provides news,
interviews and profiles of elite athletes, posters, techniques and
tips); Excess accident and liability insurance (covers
all USA Swimming sanctioned activities); Competition and
instruction through club programs; Opportunity to participate
in USA Swimming sanctioned meets; Many other benefits listed
at the
www.usaswimming.org
For swimmers brand new to USA Swimming, you will need to give us a
copy of your birth certificate by the end of your 1-week trial
period. This is because age needs to be verified upon the
initial registration with USA Swimming. The registrations
will be processed, and your account subsequently
billed, in the following order. New swimmers will be
registered for 2010 immediately upon beginning the fall
season. Non-high school swimmers already registered for
2009 will be registered for 2010 in December. High school swimmers
already registered for 2009 will be registered for 2010 in
February, before their conference meets, if they so desire, or when
they return after their high school season concludes.
2. Practice Fees
Monthly Dues (Covers pool rental and coaches fees for practice
sessions). Penguin - $75; Dolphin - $80; Shark -
$95; Senior-2 - $100; Senior-1- $110
GOAL utilizes the Team Unify billing system for its invoicing. Invoices are generated on the
21st of the month, showing the following months practice
fees, as well as any swim meet fees occurring since the last
invoice. Payments can be done in 3 ways., the first 2 ways
being automatic setups on the website.
1 – payment by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) , 2 –
payment by ACH (or e-check), 3 – a check made payable to
Greater Omaha Aquatics and handed to Coach Tom or Becky at
practice, or mailed to Coach Tom at 2805 S. 76 Ave. Omaha, NE 68124.
If you set up a credit card or ACH to pay your bill, those payments
will be processed on the 1st of the month, in the amount
equal to the balance of your account.
If your initial setup for autopay is after the 1st of
the month, there is no automatic payment made at that time. The first payment would not occur until the
1st of the following month.
You may need to send a check for that first months balance to avoid
having 2 months worth of fees on the first payment..
Though we do still offer month-to-month swimming (no session or
annual obligation), you must give 2 weeks notice for the month(s)
you are going inactive in order to not be billed for that month and
be obligated for the fees.
Payments are due by the 20th, and balances not paid in
full by the 20th are subject to $10 late fee.
Balances more than 60 days past due will result in the swimmer
being unable to practice or participate in meets for GOAL.
Attending one or more practices in a month obligates you for the
entire monthly fee, with the exception of the spring and summer
break months, which are prorated. You must notify us by the
16th of the month preceding the month you plan on going
inactive, in order to not be obligated for that following months
fees..
Monthly fees will be prorated for the spring and summer breaks
(usually late March and early August). Any first-time GOAL
swimmer who starts mid-month will also be prorated. High
school swimmers will be prorated for the departing and returning
months of the high school season, if necessary.
3. Meet Fees
Entry fee: Typically meets charge by the event (usually
anywhere from $2.00-$3.00 per individual event). There is
also a $5 Midwestern Swimming (MWS) fee and a $2 GOAL fee.
Relays are paid for by GOAL. A typical meet where you swim 6
events over the course of 2 days would then be charged as
follows: 6 x $2.50 = $15.00 + $5.00 MWS fee + $2
GOAL fee = total
$22.00
Out of Town Meets (Where coach’s hotel stay is
required): The coaches hotel and transportation bill will be
divided up by the number of kids entered in the meet and billed to
each swimmer entered in the meet. For Sectionals level
and higher meets, this coaches expenses fee will not exceed
$50.
GOAL will publish a list of meets we plan on attending early in the
short course season (usually late-September) and again early in the
long course season (mid-April). Our Team Unify website has an
online process for meet signups. Meet entry fees will be
posted to your account within a few days of the meet entry
deadline
