About

The Manhattan Marlins Swim Team was founded almost forty years ago by a group of interested parents.  Their goal to promote swimming as a sport, both as fun and competition, is still in place today.  Our primary emphasis is on positive self image, physical conditioning, and development to each child’s fullest potential.

Over the years, the Marlins have grown, developed and produced national qualifiers as well as state high school champions.  Most of all, the team has provided an excellent swimming program to the Manhattan, Kansas area and to each swimmer who has become a member.

School Sponsored Sports

Families of swimmers participating in school-sponsored sports programs can receive special consideration of their swim team fee assessment. However, the circumstances of participation need to be discussed with the Head Coach to find a suitable fee structure.

High School Swimmer Participation

Swimmers wanting to swim with the Manhattan Marlins swim team before their high school season begins will be allowed to enroll in the program at the beginning of the swimming quarter. As with all swimmers, lane placement will be determined by the head coach, based on swimming ability.

Scholarship Program

The Manhattan Marlins swim team provides a scholarship program to families in need. These families may complete the scholarship application form and submit it to the Board of Directors for approval. Scholarships can be renewed on an annual basis following re-application by the participant.
