SWIMMER’S PROGRESSION

The GOAL for each swimmer is to progress through each step and station, learning and demonstrating the skills involved in competitve swimming.  Each station teaches a skill in the swimming progression.  As the swimmer learns, develops confidence, and improves their swimming ability, they will progress through the stations.  The Jersey Storm Lesson Program is designed to teach swimmers the steps necessary to take them through Station #6.  The swim team Bronze & Silver groups continue the swimming instruction and offer swimmer participation in competition and other team activities.  During the swim season, each swimmer is taught and will progress through all 10 stations.  We encourage each swimmer to try to complete all ofthe stations, whether through the lesson program or on the swim team.  Depending on the swimmer’s ability, more than one session of lessons may be necessary to complete the program through station #6.
