Summer Stryper Season

The Summer Strypers compete and train during a very short summer season of 8 weeks. The first practices will begin on Monday 6/22, culminating at our Championship meet on Friday 8/14. We compete as one of 9 teams in the South Shore Swim League.

Our training programs are designed to offer every swimmer the leadership and knowledge to be successful in the sport of swimming.

Swimmers of all abilities and levels will work through the programs focused on:

  • consistently improving their stroke technique.
  • being a contributing member of the team environment.
  • challenging themselves, their peers, and coaches to succeed.
  • having fun and making friends.

The regular season is composed of dual meets, one team competing against another team. The championship meet is held at the end of the regular season.  Everyone is eligible to swim in our regular season.  A swimmer must compete in three (3) regular season SSSL meets to compete in the championship meet.

Swimmers are encouraged to participate in all swim meets throughout the season either as spectators or participants.  Swimmers must stay on deck with the team at all meets – dual and championship – until the entire session is over.  If a swimmer must leave early, your child’s coach needs a written note explaining the situation prior to meet day.
